  • General Category
    • RESIDENCE CRITERIA (60 POINTS) : Proximity of residence to the school is beneficial to both the child and local community. So residence has been included as criteria for admission as per the following parameters :
      • 0 – 1 Km - 60 points
      • 1.1 – 3 Km - 50 points
      • 3.1 - 6 Km - 30 points
      • Above 6 Km - 10 points
    • SIBLING CRITERIA (20 POINTS) : It is very difficult for the parents to have children in different schools. So the school considers this as a very important factor for admission.
    • GIRL CHILD CRITERIA (10 POINTS) : SD Public believes in giving equal opportunities irrespective of the gender. Being co-educational, the school tries to ensure that there is an equal balance between the two sexes.
    • ALUMNI (10 POINTS) : Everyone has a special bond with the Alma Mater. So keeping in view, 10 points will be given to the children of those parents either of them has passed out from the school and is a member of School’s Alumni Committee (SDPAC)

      The following documents to be attached with the registration form (OPEN SEATS) :

    • Birth Certificate or Hospital register record or Anganwadi record or declaration of age of the child by the parent or guardian.
    • RESIDENCE PROOF (ANY ONE) : Ration card issued in the name of parents or Domicile certificate of child or Voter I card of any of the parents or Electricity bill or MTNL telephone bill or Water bill or six months back rent agreement duly registered by court.
    • SIBLING PROOF (IF APPLICABLE) : Copy of School’s ID card / Report card of sibling.
    • ALUMNI PROOF (IF APPLICABLE) : Copy of passing certificate of class XII of any of the parent.

      Original documents to be produced at the time of admission. The parents will be responsible for all entries in the Registration Form vis a vis its authenticity. If false entries are detected on verification at anytime, the same will lead to disqualification of the candidature, even if admitted.


  • EWS Category
    • Children of EWS category will be given 25% of the seats as per the total intake of the entry class in 50. This is the percentage mandated under the RTE Act and is a part of our social responsibility.

      The applicants will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by govt. and given in registration form. If the applications exceed the seats available, children will be admitted through Random Selection (Draw of lots) in the presence of DOE Nominee and parent applicants.

      The following documents to be attached with the registration form (EWS / DG Category) :

    • Birth Certificate or Hospital register record or Anganwadi record or declaration of age of the child by the parent or guardian.
    • RESIDENCE PROOF (ANY ONE) : Ration card issued in the name of parents or Domicile certificate of child or Voter I card of any of the parents or Electricity bill or MTNL telephone bill or Water bill or six months back rent agreement duly registered by court.
    • Income certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or BPL Ration Card (yellow coloured) or AAY Ration Card (Pink coloured)
    • A certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or any other Competent Authority or Caste certificates issued by DC office or Medical certificate from Govt. Hospital, in case of children what special needs/disabilities or A certificate issued in accordance with instruction issued by the Department of Woman and Child Development, GNCT of Delhi, vide order dt 11.12.12 in case of Orphan Child.

  • Staff Ward Category
    • All permanent staff members have a right to apply for the admission of their children. Children under this category will be admitted to maximum of 5% seats. Unfilled seats will be converted to General Category.

      Candidates must apply on the prescribed forms, but no points are required for this category of the applicants exceed the no. of seats allotted there will be a draw of lots.



AGE CRITERIA : 

  • CLASS NURSERY : ABOVE 3 YEARS AND LESS THAN 4 YEARS AS ON 31st MARCH OF THE YEAR IN WHICH THE ADMISSION IS SOUGHT i.e. BETWEEN 01.04.2020 TO 31.03.2021.
  • CLASS NURSERY : ABOVE 3 YEARS AND LESS THAN 4 YEARS AS ON 31st MARCH OF THE YEAR IN WHICH THE ADMISSION IS SOUGHT i.e. BETWEEN 01.04.2020 TO 31.03.2021.
  • CLASS I : ABOVE 5 YEARS AND LESS THAN 6 YEARS AS ON 31st MARCH OF THE YEAR IN WHICH THE ADMISSION IS SOUGHT i.e. BETWEEN 01.04.2018 TO 31.03.2019.
